Death Due to an Accident

If your death is due to an accident, the Employee Life AD&D benefit is paid to your beneficiary(ies) or, in the absence of a beneficiary to your Estate, subject to any other legislation that may be in place at the time of death.

The AD&D benefit is paid in the form of a cash lump-sum payment. This payment is not subject to income tax.

Injury Due to an Accident

If you suffer the loss of a specified body part, or loss of use of a specified body part due to an accident, the AD&D benefit is paid to you, subject to any other legislation that may be in place at the time of injury.
