All employers and members who participate in HEPP are required to contribute to the COLA Plan. Retired members do not contribute to the COLA Plan.

The COLA Plan contribution rate for both active members and employers is 1.0% of pensionable earnings:

  • 90% of COLA Plan contributions go to the Active Members Fund
  • 10% of COLA Plan contributions go to the Past Retirees Fund.
