Termination of Benefits

Monthly D&R Benefits stop on the day one of the following occurs:

  1. You no longer meet the definition of Total Disability
  2. You are employed in any occupation for wage or profit (except if participating in a HEB Manitoba Approved Rehabilitation Program)
  3. You refuse to follow or do not follow care or treatment prescribed by your Physician
  4. You refuse to participate in or do not co-operate with an Approved Rehabilitation Program
  5. You refuse an offer of alternative employment with a Participating Employer
  6. You receive a disability pension from the Healthcare Employees’ Pension Plan (HEPP), or any other registered pension plan sponsored by your employer
  7. You fail to provide accurate information deemed by HEB Manitoba as necessary to evaluate continued eligibility for D&R Benefits
  8. You refuse HEB Manitoba’s request to be examined by an independent Physician or Alternative Care Provider
  9. You fail to comply with Third Party Claim requirements or breach any term of a Reimbursement Agreement
  10. You reach age 65, or
  11. Upon your death.
