Dependant student over age 21 in your house? Remember to confirm their student status with Manitoba Blue Cross.

Oct 17, 2019

In early September, we asked Manitoba Blue Cross (MBC) to contact approximately 5,000 HEB Manitoba members to ask them to confirm the student status for their dependants who are age 21 or older.

This update, which we will now perform annually, will help to ensure any over-age student dependants continue to receive uninterrupted healthcare and dental coverage for the duration of their formal education, up to a maximum of age 25.

Members are required to complete a declaration to confirm that their student dependant is 1) unmarried, and 2) enrolled full-time at an accredited educational institution.

If you have a dependant that meets this eligibility criteria, and have not already done so, please remember to confirm their student status with MBC as soon as possible or they will be removed from your healthcare & dental plans.
