A MESSAGE TO HEB MANITOBA MEMBERS (March 18, 2020)

Mar 18, 2020

We recognize that those of you who are members of our Plans are under immense strain in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We want to let you know about the precautionary measures we are taking to continue to deliver the services you need while protecting your safety and that of our staff and the broader community.

In keeping with the recommendations from health authorities:

  • We have enabled as many staff as possible to work from home, allowing those who remain in the office to follow recommended social distancing guidelines.
  • In person meetings (including meetings with members) have been cancelled or will take place by telephone or email.
  • We have ensured that hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes are widely available throughout our offices.
  • Employees who are displaying symptoms or have had contact with someone who has travelled have been advised to follow self-monitoring and self-isolation guidelines.

Access to HEB Manitoba Staff and Services

Because we will have limited staff in the office, service levels will be affected.

  • Please do not visit our offices in person.
  • We will return voicemail messages as soon as possible; however, please be prepared for it to take a few days.
  • If you have forms or other correspondence to send us, please scan and email it to us at info@hebmanitoba.ca.
  • If you need to designate a pension beneficiary, please go to My HEB Online Services.

We will continue to monitor the situation and post updates when we have information to share.
