Healthcare Employees’ Pension Plan Cost of Living Adjustment Plan (HEPP COLA) Payment

Dec 23, 2024
Eligible retired members will receive a HEPP COLA benefit payment on January 1, 2025.

This is the eighth consecutive year that a COLA payment has been granted.

Due to the recent strike at Canada Post, letters informing eligible members about the payment are delayed and will be mailed as soon as possible.

All members who received a monthly pension payment from HEPP for at least 12 months when the COLA is granted automatically receive a COLA payment. The benefit is a one-time taxable lump sum, not monthly. It is a gross amount before tax. Regular monthly HEPP pension payments remain the same.

The COLA is not payable to a surviving spouse, beneficiary or former spouse receiving a monthly pension payment.
