Pension Payments – Change to Deposit Dates

Jan 20, 2026
We have revised when pension payments are made when the first day of the month isn’t an official banking day.

Pension payments are usually deposited on the first day of each month.

Before this year, if the first of the month fell on a weekend or a statutory holiday, pension payments were deposited on the following business day.

Going forward, if the first of the month falls on a weekend or a statutory holiday, pension payments will be deposited on the last business day of the previous month.

An exception applies to the January 1 payment, which will be paid on the first business day in January.

For your reference, here is the revised schedule for monthly payments for the rest of 2026. Payment dates not on the first of the month are in bold.
