You must complete your enrolment by November 30, 2025, but we strongly recommend that you do it before the end of the pre-enrolment period (September 17 to September 30).

Completing your enrolment before September 30 offers several advantages:

• You and your eligible family members get earlier access to your new healthcare and dental benefits. Your Manitoba Blue Cross card with the Healthcare & Dental contract numbers should be on its way to you by the week of October 6.
  
• Less chance of over- or under-paying premiums or contributions.
  
• The opportunity for an earlier start to the Commuted Value Transfer process if you want to use your Home Care Defined Contribution pension funds to purchase credited service in the HEB Manitoba Pension Plan.
  
• Additional telephone and in-person support will be available to you during the pre-enrolment period.

The enrolment process is fast and easy on HEB Manitoba’s secure member portal.

If you have not completed your enrolment process by November 30, 2025 your coverage will default as follows:

• You will be enrolled for single Healthcare and Dental coverage. If you declare current dependants after this date they will have a one-year wait for coverage.
  
• If you enrol in the Pension Plan after this date, contributions will be deducted on a go-forward basis only and you will not be eligible to transfer your Home Care Employees Pension Plan benefit to HEB Manitoba.
  
• You will not be able to purchase optional Personal or Family Life Insurance without providing evidence of good health.

Log in to the secure member portal (you might have to register first if you are a first-time user).

After September 17, you should see a message waiting for you under My Messages and a “Pending Enrolment” tile on your dashboard.

Open My Messages and read your enrolment letter.

It is also a good idea to review the brochures for each Plan to be sure you understand your benefits and the rules around them.

When you are ready, click the “Pending Enrolment” tile and follow the prompts to complete your enrolment:

• List your eligible dependants
  
• Decide whether to enrol in the Pension Plan now or delay enrolment.
  • You can enrol any time in the first two years
  • You must enrol as of October 1, 2025 if you want to transfer your Home Care Employees pension plan funds to HEB Manitoba.
  • If you enrol in the Pension Plan you will be asked to name a pension beneficiary if you do not have a spouse or common-law partner.
• Acknowledge your enrolment in the Disability & Rehabilitation Plan.
  
• Purchase any optional personal or family Life Insurance coverage you want to add and name your Life Insurance beneficiary.
  
• Enrol in the Healthcare Plan (You may waive coverage if you are already covered by another group healthcare plan.)
  
• Enrol in the Dental Plan (You may waive coverage if you are already covered by another group dental plan.)

• Finish your enrolment!

Yes. This is the fastest and most convenient way to enrol. Your enrolment choices are captured in HEB’s system as soon as you make them.

It is best to use a computer. The enrolment process was not designed to work on a smartphone’s web browser.
