IMPORTANT: If you haven’t yet gone to HEB Manitoba’s secure member portal and completed your enrolment process, it’s to your advantage to do it now to avoid over- or under-paying premiums.

As of October 1, 2025

Payroll deductions start:

  • Your employer will start to pay D&R premiums on your behalf each pay starting with the first pay in October.
  • Healthcare and Dental Plan premiums for October, which would normally have been deducted in September, will be deducted in October. Premiums for November coverage will also be deducted in October.
    • If you enrolled during the pre-enrolment period, your premium amount will be based on your actual level of coverage (family, single, or waived due to alternate coverage).
    • If you have not yet enrolled or waived coverage, you will pay family premiums.

Starting in November, there will be only one Healthcare and Dental Plan deduction each month to pay for the following month’s coverage.

  • Your employer starts paying the premium for your Basic Life Insurance. If you purchased optional personal or family Life Insurance, these premiums will be deducted from every pay.
  • If you enrolled in the Pension Plan, pension contributions will be deducted from every pay.
  • Your employer continues to pay your EAP premiums.

November 30, 2025

Last date to complete your enrolment.

If you have not completed your enrolment process by November 30, your coverage will default as follows:

  • You will be enrolled for single Healthcare and Dental coverage. If you declare current dependants after November 30 they will have a one-year wait for coverage.
  • If you enrol in the Pension Plan after November 30, contributions will be paid on a go-forward basis when you do enrol. You will not be eligible to transfer your Home Care Employees Pension Plan benefit to HEB Manitoba.
  • You will not be able to purchase optional Personal or Family Life Insurance without providing evidence of good health.
